Raymond Kennard celebrates 10 years with Team Akura

Ray has experienced considerable change over his 10 years with Akura, and he has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth.

Initially starting with the sales team, Ray’s skills and industry knowledge quickly became invaluable across other areas of the business. As Akura developed beyond manufacturing steel and building projects, Ray’s experience proved invaluable in the company’s expansion into a full construction and development company. The relocation of the business in 2015 allowed for the addition of precast concrete to the manufacturing arm, and the expansion of the construction and installation teams.

Ray’s role quickly expanded to incorporate estimation and planning, as the need for detailed feasibility and project scoping grew to service the rapidly growing list of client projects.

More recently, Ray’s team has grown, and his input valued with the design and preconstruction teams. His leadership and guidance are valued by many team members and his nature and willingness to help is without bounds.

Ray is a well-respected and valued member of the team, as communicated by Troy Wallace, Managing Director, who said “Ray is at the heart of all that we do and his commitment to Akura is second-to-none. He leads by example and is always ready to help across the team. We are truly grateful and proud to celebrate this milestone with Ray.”

Reflecting on Ray’s ten-year contribution to Akura, Troy said “On behalf of Team Akura, we’d like to express our appreciation to Ray for his contribution to Akura and generosity and guidance to all amongst our team. We look forward to the next ten years!”

Akura’s growth has necessitated the expansion of many teams, which has paved the way for many new employees to join the company, across three offices located in Sydney, Bathurst and Victoria.
